1899. Fundación del Club

Hans Gamper (Winterthur, Switzerland, 1877 - Barcelona, 1930) came to Barcelona in 1898 for professional reasons.
In his free time playing soccer with a group of colleagues in the Bonanova.
In October 1899, Gamper placed an ad in the magazine Sports in which calls to form a football team.
On November 29, Gamper and eleven men (the Swiss Otto Kunzle, the English Walter Wild, John and William Parsons, the German Otto Maier, and Catalans Lluís d'Osso, Bartomeu Terradas, Enric Ducal, Pere Cabot, Carles Pujol and Josep Llobet) come together to form an association to be known and the shield of the city: the Futbol Club Barcelona.

1899. El primer escudo

The first shield is the club is the same as that of Barcelona, a new sample of the will that was identified with the city that welcomed and merge with it.

The colors of the shirt of FC Barcelona players have always been blue and scarlet.

One of several theories to explain the origins of the colors blue and red is that Gamper adopted the same colors of Basel, where he played before coming to Catalonia.

Personal assessment:

This equipment has been the maximum rival Real Madrid CF and will remain so.
In my opinion this team has an extraordinary quality of touch, as is one of the best players in the world (Messi).
